Getting there
- Most things in Mooloolaba are within walking distance. In saying that, we won’t ask you to walk to the wedding in your nice clothes! We have booked a bus to take guests to and from the venue.
- The bus will leave from a few meeting points – please let us know when you book accommodation and we will try to have a stop nearby. We will provide more info about meeting points closer to the time.
- If you wish to make your own way to Pier 33, that is fine too! The trip to Pier 33 is about a 6 minute drive or a 20 minute walk from Mooloolaba Esplanade.
- The bus will drop everyone back at the meeting points at the conclusion of the wedding.

Accommodation
TRAVEL
The closest airport is Maroochydore (Sunshine Coast) airport, which is approximately 15 – 20 minutes drive from Mooloolaba.
An Uber is usually the easiest way to get from the airport to Mooloolaba.

Recovery
For those that want to continue the celebrations, we will get together casually the day after the wedding from 12-3pm at Pavilion Mooloolaba.
Food and drinks will be provided.
Feel free to pop in for a little while or stay the whole time depending on your travel arrangements.

Best Asian fusion ever! There is ALWAYS a queue and they don’t take reservations, so if you don’t go early, you will have to wait a while for a table. Ordering takeaway ahead of time is a great option if you can’t be bothered waiting.
- TON KHAO BISTRO
Delicious Thai food!
- MOOLOOLABA SURF CLUB
A Mooloolaba icon. Great for a sunset drink or nice pub meal.
- IL VENTO OR AUGELLOS
Both amazing Italian restaurants. Il Vento is at the Wharf and Augellos is along the beachfront esplanade.
- BERRY GOOD (ACAI)
Plenty of acai choices in Mooloolaba but this one is our fav.
- FLO’S CREPERIE OR KENILWORTH BAKERY
For the sweet tooths! Flo’s has incredible crepes and Kenilworth Bakery has the best donuts.

Stroll up and find a spot on the hill towards Alexandra Headlands to watch the sunset, or grab a table for happy hour at one of the restaurants/bars along the esplanade.
- AQUADUCK
A good way to see Mooloolaba. The Aquaduck combines a city tour and river cruise in one.
- AUSTRALIA ZOO
If you feel like venturing out of Mooloolaba, you could visit the Irwin’s at Australia Zoo. It is about 30 mins drive from Mooloolaba.

A note on gifts
Your presence at our wedding is honestly the best gift of all. We understand it is a big ask to make the trip up to Mooloolaba for our special day!
However, if you do wish to provide a gift, a wishing well will be available.
